HOW TO GET
THERE
Travelling to Moreton Island
There are a number of ways to get to Moreton Island from Brisbane:
Moreton Venture
www.moretonventure.com.au
The Moreton Venture has a daily barge to Tangalooma Wrecks. It carries
both vehicles (4WD) and passengers. It leaves from Howard-Smith Drive,
Whyte Island, Port of Brisbane. The barge terminal is approximately 20
minutes drive south of the Brisbane Airport. For a small fee and prior
booking Moreton Venture will take you from the barge to the Resort
after arriving at the island. The website has timetables, contact
details, and a location map.

Combie Trader

For those people who live north of Brisbane the Combie Trader, carrying
4wd vehicles and passengers, leaves from Thurect Parade, Scarborough
and travels to the town of Bulwer on the north-west end of Moreton
Island. Their website has contact details, and a location map.
Tangalooma Flyer
This passenger ferry service is provided by Tangalooma Wild Dolphin
Resort. For guests who travel to Moreton Island via the Tangalooma
Flyer the Flyer leaves Brisbane from the Holt St Wharf, Pinkenba
Brisbane, (10 minutes drive south of Brisbane Airport), and travels to
the Tangalooma Resort jetty on Moreton Island. There is a courtesy
coach which operates daily from most CBD
Hotels and the Roma Street Transit Centre. Contact Reservations for further
information. The courtesy bus does not meet the 12 noon boat (Saturdays) or
any evening service from the Resort.
